Representatives of member companies are workers' compensation professionals specializing in administration, case management, litigation, medical services and rehabilitation. Members benefit from each others experience. Employers are quickly and accurately informed of issues affecting workers' compensation through this website as well as MSIA's communication and education activities. In addition, the Association is an active participant in the legislative process and an active participant in the judicial process, in support of employer's interests. There are two types of membership:

Active membership is limited to public and private employers who individually, or through a group, self-insure workers' compensation coverage. Additionally, insured employers with "high deductible" as determined by the Board of Managers are eligible for membership.

Associate membership applies to attorneys, administrative and service organizations which represent self-insured employers and individuals, whose interests are compatible with those of self-insured employers.
